Overview

Lifeline (real name Ajay Che) is a Support Legend focused on keeping her squad alive and supplied. Unlocked by default, she excels at mid-fight sustain and quick recoveries. Her kit features the D.O.C. Heal Drone for area healing, Combat Revive for hands-free teammate revives, and a Care Package Ultimate that delivers high-quality gear upgrades.

Abilities

D.O.C. Heal Drone (Tactical)

The Drone of Compassion automatically heals nearby allies over time. Once placed, it remains stationary and continuously restores health to any teammate within range.

  • Cooldown: 45 seconds
  • Healing rate: 8 HP per second
  • Duration: 20 seconds
  • Radius: approximately 6 meters
Tip: Drop the drone behind cover before you re-shield so you regain health while topping your shields, saving precious items and time.
  • D.O.C. cannot be moved after deployment and may be destroyed by certain damage sources.
  • Placing in the Ring without protection can destroy it; a heat shield placed first can help.
  • Avoid deploying mid-air; it must land to begin healing.

Combat Revive (Passive)

Lifeline uses D.O.C. to revive downed teammates automatically while remaining free to defend or reposition.

  • Hands-free revives allow Lifeline to fight, heal, or revive a second ally.
  • Allies can cancel their own revive if needed.
  • Silence and destruction of D.O.C. can interrupt the revive.
Tip: Start the revive while sliding into cover to reduce the moment you’re exposed, then take up a defensive angle as D.O.C. completes the pickup.

Care Package (Ultimate)

Call in a personal support drop containing high-quality defensive gear and attachments tailored to upgrade your squad’s current loadout.

  • Charge time: ~3.5 minutes
  • Drop time: ~8 seconds after calling
  • Contents: one defensive upgrade (Body Shield/Helmet/Knockdown), one healing/utility slot, and one weapon attachment slot
  • Package beam is blue and less conspicuous than standard airdrops but still visible and audible nearby
Tip: Use Care Packages early and often to power-spike your team; call them slightly off your position to avoid broadcasting your exact location.
  • Can provide emergency cover or a step to reach higher ground.
  • Great after respawning a teammate to quickly restock essentials.

Legend Upgrades

Legend Upgrades (Battle Royale, introduced in Season 20) grant two perk choices as your Evo Armor levels up. One option can be selected per tier.

Level 2 Upgrades

  • Rapid Response: +20% revive speed
  • Tactical Cooldown++: D.O.C. Heal Drone cooldown reduced by 25 seconds

Level 3 Upgrades

  • Last Stand: Gain a Self-Revive
  • Gold-Plated: Next Care Package contains gold-tier loot and an EVO Cache

Lore

Born to wealthy war profiteers on Psamathe, Ajay Che rejected her family’s legacy and joined the Frontier Corps, a humanitarian organization devoted to aiding communities in need. She competes in the Apex Games to funnel winnings back into relief efforts. Though she projects a sharp wit and tough exterior, her motives are rooted in helping others and making amends for her family’s past.
