Quick Details

  • Real name: Margaret Kōhere
  • Alias: Rebel Warlord
  • Gender: Female
  • Age: 56
  • Homeworld: Salvo
  • Class: Assault
  • Voice: Nicola Kāwana

Abilities

Riot Drill (Tactical)

Riot Drill icon

  • Description: Fires a drill that latches to surfaces and burns enemies on the other side.
  • Cooldown: 20 seconds
  • Behavior:
    • Hold the Tactical input to delay launch; melee cancels the launch.
    • Can be used while firing, reloading, healing, or performing other actions.
    • Direct hit deals minor impact damage and bounces off enemies.
    • Once attached, a burning flare pierces through up to ~13 meters of surface and reaches ~5 meters beyond the exit.
    • Activates ~1 second after attachment and can inflict up to 160 total damage over ~9 seconds.
    • Moves with the object it is attached to; if that object is destroyed, the drill disappears.
  • Interactions:
    • Attaches to most map props, walls, and doors.
    • Can latch to placeables like domes, shields, covers, traps, and vehicles; may burn through multiple thin barriers.
    • Affected by vertical-lift effects; bounces off knockdown shields.
Tip: If an enemy turtles behind cover, tag the surface with Riot Drill to force a reposition and create a push window.
Heads-up: Sometimes the drill may appear to travel a shorter distance on irregular surfaces due to collision calculations.

Warlord’s Ire (Passive)

Warlord's Ire icon

  • Description: Temporarily highlights enemies you damage and moves faster while using shotguns.
  • Behavior:
    • Damaged targets are outlined through obstacles for ~0.8 seconds.
    • Movement speed is increased while wielding shotguns (comparable to holstered movement).
    • ADS with shotguns retains near-holstered mobility for tighter strafes.
Tip: Thermite grenades and Riot Drill damage extend your tracking window on enemies concealed by cover.
Tip: If shotgun is your primary, keep it out while rotating—no movement penalty and instant combat readiness.

Wrecking Ball (Ultimate)

Wrecking Ball icon

  • Description: Throws a ball that drops speed-boost pads and explodes near enemies.
  • Charge time: ~2 minutes
  • Behavior:
    • Bounces off floors, walls, and ceilings while deploying pads in a zig-zag trail.
    • Stepping on pads grants a burst of speed for a short duration (does not stack with other speed boosts).
    • Explodes after a set time, on max bounces, or on hitting an enemy; deals light damage and stuns in a small radius.
    • Can break doors and damage or disrupt many enemy placeables (e.g., shields, traps, ultimates).
Tip: Use Wrecking Ball to break blocked doors and instantly stun defenders to open a clean entry.
Tip: It’s a great rotation tool—just remember enemies can sprint your boost trail too.

Legend Upgrades (Battle Royale)

Legend Upgrades unlock as your Evo Armor levels during BR matches. Choose one per level for up to two perks total.

Level 2 Upgrades

  • Shots Shots Shots: Automatically reload shotguns on knockdowns.
  • Fire Ball: Wrecking Ball ignites shortly after release, creating thermite shockwaves on its detonation point before continuing; detonates fully after a second release.

Level 3 Upgrades

  • Drillslinger: +1 Riot Drill charge; shorter active duration.
  • Big Drill: Increased drill depth and width for greater coverage through cover.

Lore

Margaret Kōhere—later feared and famed as Mad Maggie—grew up on Salvo with no family and few prospects. She found purpose alongside her closest friend, Walter “Fuse” Fitzroy, as their teenage antics evolved into mercenary work and eventually the Cracked Talon, a notorious operation fighting for Salvo’s independence.

When Salvo’s rival warlord signed with the Syndicate, Maggie’s vision of a free Salvo was shattered—and Fuse’s decision to chase glory in the Apex Games felt like betrayal. Determined to expose Syndicate weakness, Maggie sabotaged Fuse’s debut, setting off a chain of conflicts that ultimately forced the two to confront their differences: Fuse would always follow the fun; Maggie, the cause.

Presumed dead after a pivotal encounter, Maggie was instead captured by the Syndicate and sentenced to fight in the Apex Games. If it’s a death sentence, she intends it won’t be hers.
